* Merajuk *
* Sent a vague SMS out of the blue that’s bound to confuse him. “Ok, takpe. Thanks.” *
* 2 missed calls to him. Barely there effort to wake him up *
* In denial!!!! *
* Convinced self that self was a strong, independent woman who didn’t need emotional entanglements *
* Went off to work without serious thought of calling him and making sure he did get up for work *
* Got emotional when the train reached Taman Jaya but managed to keep it to myself *
* Got emotional when Harvey Malaiholo and Sheila Majid duet the song, ‘Begitulah Cinta’ and almost died of denial *
* Concentrated on the book, Watermelon by Marian Keyes – a gift from my sister-in-law and all the while praying I wouldn’t be met with a similar fate as Claire, in the book *
* Someone blardy farted in the train. Shoved tissue to nose to make a statement. Like, a silent protest. *
* Reached train station, said in a classy voice, ‘I’m sorry, excuse me.’ *
* Took the escalator down and glide along down because knees hurt from over-excersion with the machines at gym. *
* Walked to the office telling self to leave it up to fate if Lyss remember to buy nasi lemak this morning, then it’s definitely my rezeki, - FYI, had nasi lemak yesterday for breakfast, and then nasi beryani for lunch, and a small scoop of rice for dinner. Exactly. Nasi = Rice = Not entirely good for dieters. *
* Lyss remembered to buy the nasi lemak, albeit this time with the half portion rice. Okaylah tu. *
* Planned not to have lunch. Because after all that rice intake the previous day, I did not go to the gym as planned. *
* Felt sad in the midst of work and missing him. It’s only been quarter a day. Felt sorry for self that self mailed Lyss and Ninny to express feelings and woes. *
* Ninny made sense and reminded me about the thing I believe and preached. That nobody is faced with something that they cannot overcome. *
* Okay, made reflections on the past relationships. There weren’t many, so flashed back from the first, to the third (that never got anywhere), and then the current situation. Realise that guys always needed self for one thing or another. Did not feel superior. Did not feel used. Just very conveniently useful. Demmit. Want to be someone’s sayang, and not just ‘useful’. *
* Went to lunch – remember the plan not to eat lunch. But the girls wanted to go to Magoo’s. Because Magoo is a rare occasion, ordered the Curry Mee. Excellent stuff. Made self finish the thing. Made a fair job of it. *
* Bought a cup of corn that I didn’t really want, a bun thing with chocolate inside, and 2 coasters. Beautiful coasters for the office. One for the mug and one for my water bottle. *
* Met with the Blackhawk Gang. Hehe.. adorable fellows. V even pretended to be gallant and keep telling me I’m worth more than the things in Central Market. In a bid to avoid from having to buy me anything there! *
* Came back from lunch and determined to push him out of my mind.*
* Seriously, the phone rang! *
* It’s him! Forgot all about plans of ignoring him by telling him I’m very busy and cannot talk to him. Excuses like, ‘I’m in a discussion’ got lost in translation. It never came out. Even when he asked if I was busy today, I didn’t give the formatted answer. Instead, I said, ‘Oh, the usual. Not really.’ *
* He asked why I did not call in the morning. Insisted that I did, told him to check his phone (in a very manja tone – opposite of what’s planned!!!!!) He in turn, insisted that there was no missed calls. *
* He said, to continue our conversation at night. *
* I said, ‘Hah! You’re always having something to do.’ *
* He said, ‘Okay, this call is to make up for all those previous nights. We’ll continue tonight.*
*’Are you sure you want to? You’re always doing something’ *
* ’Well, I can’t help it that you called everytime I was doing something.’ *
* Refrained from telling him if he really wanted to talk to me he’d put whatever he’s doing away. And now hitting self on the head mentally with a brick for not doing so. *
* He talked about watching a movie this weekend. Saturday, when he’d be in the area. He talked about trying to get a ticket for Take the Lead – the movie I was dying to watch with him and he said he’s already booked by his colleagues. He explained that he cancelled with them. We both conferred that the show is not showing at appropriate times – Office hours! Sdoobid (way beyond stupid). *
* Decided on Pirates of the Caribbean 2, Saturday night. I agreed to buy the tickets first as I am nearer. GSC 1 Utama’s our favourite location. *
* He said, to the heart of the matter (of his call) – I told him I expected it and was waiting for it to come about. Finally got around to talk about the mail he sent earlier and asked if I’ve replied. It’s one of those ‘english template’ mails. Told him I did, 10 minutes after I received it. He insisted he did not receive anything. I resent through YaHoO. *
* We finally put down the phone, with me all smiles and happy. Hmm….maybe I need my brain checked. And my heart mended. I dunno. *
* Ten minutes after the call, realised belatedly that Auntie Dee’s dinner thing was Saturday night! Demmit. No movie!!!! *
* Upset. Upset. Upset. At the thought of not watching movie with him Saturday night. Dang itttt.. *
* Went about with work amidst correspondence between trips to Slim River for whitewater rafting and debate with Fleur on the merits of a Bugatti against that of men. She brought up Orlando Bloom as classiest man in Hollywood and he was nowhere near a Bugatti. Told her, Orlando should change his name to Orlanda when he has the time. Such a wuss outside of the Pirate movie. Pointed out that Brad Pitt is more classy since he’s got The Woman. Insisted that my ‘him’ was hotter than Bugatti. She laughed at me and told me I could have him for myself. Told her thanks, that I never intended to share him anyway. Fleur relented. Heh.*
* Writing this here blog thingy when he called again, asking about another mail he sent. Told him I have replied that mail hours ago. Then told him bad news about Saturday. He said, ‘Sunday then’. Adoore, adooore, adore that MAN! (for now, he’s a man). He asked what I was doing. I said, updating my blog, which made him laugh. Hmph. *
* Lyss just came up from meeting. We agreed to leave after Maghrib prayers.*
* The End....? *
>> Vaguely wonders if self will succeed in going to the gym tonight.
