it's worth the RM58.57

i just..

got better from yesterday's lethargy (i even got an MC for it).. hehe.. thought of staying in for lunch. ordered from my colleague a takeout. my legs weren't feeling too hot after last night's bout with yoga anyhoo.

and my body is experiencing a bit of water retention today.. then suddenly, sandi asked me if i'd like to come with her to 1 utama.. she wanted to checkout some books @ payless.. excited, i cancelled my order and rushed to meet up with the girls downstairs.. alih2.. there were an extra set of legs who wanted to come with us, so sandi's picanto with baby seat attached became out of the question. Shit. This means only one thing, and it wasn't an option that i favoured.

we're taking my car.

Adeh. (trans: ouch)

i had to walk all the way to the adjoining building where i park my car in my tight shoes and blisters.. sigh.. i really should take mum up on her offer to get me a pair of Clarks shoes, and it wasn't for the lack of want, really.. but for the lack of availability in designs. apparently, most of Clarks shoes are made of pig skin, therein limits the choices for cooler designs and those that won't make your feet resemble that of your granny's.. to top it off, i told them, pay less is @ the new wing.. so they decided to eat @ nando’s.. the one fast food that i do not favour.

So, i decided i'd get my favourite vienna cheese chicken @ King’s Pie and merayap (trans: walked around / loitered) to look at books on my own.. i stopped by payless, and as luck would have it, there were none of the books by the title that sandi wanted (judith mcNaught, susan elizabeth phillips).. hampeh (trans: hopeless). So, i called Times which is @ the auld wing ,.. and they said there was only one of “My bestfriend’s girl” by Dorothy Koomson left… great. I told the guy to hold on to it for me... i was coming right then from the new wing.. LIFE would've been less complicated for me had i parked at the auld wing in the first place. well, it did turn out that payless did not have what we came there for in the first place..

Adeh.

my feet hurt. but i went on ahead anyway, plowing through the pain.. to make the effort and the distance (cehceh) worth it, i looked for another book to get along with the one i told the bookkeeper to keep for me.. it was with pleasure that i found the other book by ms dorothy k., the "marshmallows for breakfast" was one of the books in the august selection for 25% off.. hehe.. as one would have guessed it, i took that book as my other..

nuts. the total amount was only for RM58.57.. blardy cheap these days for prime-sized paperbacks (they'd usually be around RM69.90 per book these days, in the size i got)

i was satisfied. At least the pain in my feet was compensated..

in the end, my lunch time today took… 2 hours. Hehe.. as though it was friday.. left for 'lunch' @ 12.30pm, and came in again @ 2.30pm .. right on the dot.. this means I can only go home at 6.30pm.. bummer.

…with all these books and time in my hands.. whatever will I do once the time hits 5pm? …hehe..

..this is originally a mail i sent to a friend of mine,.. but i realised it'd make for this month's entry on da blog.. and so here it is..
