phew.
i did it. i mailed HR and said i was interested in the position for a research person thingy. well, i know the professional, corporate term for it. just not using it in case someone who knows me and reading this post finds out i'm trying to skip town (by that i mean,..department)..
actually, i don't really get all these secrecy business when you're trying to get a different position elsewehere. internally. or externally. fear that someone would sabotage? whatever! to me,.. if it's my rezeki,..i'll get that post. if not, and my rezeki is still coming from where i'm at right now, then that's exactly where i'll be no matter what people do. but i'm just going with prudence since i'm ignorant on this matter.
i can make guesses as to why, but let's not encourage paranoia here.
anyways,.. things are pretty cool in the office. i'm not very busy. except trying to shake this guy from commercial into giving me some data i need. feck it you know??? so annoying coz he's two weeks ahead of the deadline i gave him,..and his other colleagues has submitted to me their data. and then,.. my immediate superior (not really, he's more like my senior that's it) is annoying me. the thing is, when i confessed to him that i'm looking at a different position, he tells me that he might be moved out by 1st March. GRAB THAT! bluidy feck. i acted too late. nevermind la. considering his age..maybe it's fair that he should move out first.
But he fecking didn't have to be so gleeful passing his pile of shit on me. (by shit i mean, work he don't like).. i told him in an icy tone, "...we'll see who has the better end of the deal when you're a month into the new position..." That's right. Don't mess with a bitch on PMS. [my impression of a tough chick] ..it must've worked, though coz he blubbered a little (i'd like to think it was blubber, though in reality it was more taken aback ) and said, "...i only meant that i have to start training you for stuff..."
Right. Like my being in the section for a little bit more than a year now didn't mean shoot for him to train me in case some emergency condition renders him hapless. i hate liars. and i especially (also) hate fools who took others for a fool. the phrase, 'it takes one to know one' does not apply here coz my ma didn't raise no fool.
hm. so much anger, ha? that ought to clue you in how long this senior guy has been getting on my nerves and FRAYING them to fine little things. sigh. but maybe i shouldn't discuss him here so much lest someone from the office does read my blog.
anyway,..hopefully, when he's gone (it's either me or him coz there's just us two in this section. we cannot both go) i'll be happier. i'll be able to get a peer colleague. or, a staff.. whichever don't really matter. a more competent superior, maybe. that'd make me truly happier.
meanwhile..i intend to enjoy this long long weekend and right lots and lots of stuff for my stories. i'm not focused again. i'm working on two stories right now. i cannot help it since i do have ideas for both. but i've been writing on G&S more and more than T&R now..
so maybe it'd work out.
